Wrapping up the messages- The Loud Cry

Posted on: June 10, 2009

How does the fourth angel relate to the third angel?

The first and second angel’s have given their messages. Now as the third angel gives his message that Babylon is fallen, it swells into a loud cry. This fourth angel that joins the third angel in this cry has been endowed with much glory from God. He is to unite his voice with that of the third to add power and force to his message. This is the harvest message.

What are the two parts to the Loud Cry?

The great and mighty angel  is seen coming with great power and glory to join his voice with that of the third. His voice swells into a loud cry as he proclaims that Babylon is fallen, and has become the habitation of everything evil. Then he begs and warns the children of God to come out of her. The patient saints also joined in the warning for God’s people to come out of Babylon, which is headed fast down the road to destruction. So. Babylon is fallen. Come out of her my people…, and reward her even as she rewarded you. The plagues are soon to fall.

What are the two parts to the final warning?

The angel comes down from Heaven announcing the sins of Babylon so that the earth knows what she has done. Then he says “Come out of her, My people. Because he is joining his voice to the third angel, these two announcements unite with the third angel’s message, creating the final warning. It  is declared of Babylon, “Her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”  Revelation 18:5. She has filled up the measure of her guilt, and destruction is about to fall upon her.  These announcements are made to call out the people of God that still remain in Babylon. “Be ye not partakers of her sins”. they must be brought out before God’s judgments are brought upon the city and the plagues are wrought upon the land. The third angel’s message connects with the the fourth angel’s cry- announcing the attrocities of Bablon. These make up the final warning which must be preached to every corner of the earth.

What is the difference between “Babylon is fallen” in the second angel’s message of Revelation 14, as given in the summer of 1844, and “Babylon is fallen” in the Loud Cry of Revelation 18?

Babylon is fallen!- proclaims the second angel. The first angel’s message had been ignored. The corrupt churches have not heeded the warning.  Granted some people did believe and leave these fallen churches, but they were a minority. Since the message of the second angel in 1844, there has been even more evil. There has been even greater deceptions and paganism. The second message is repeated by the fourth angel who is warning God’s people to come out of Babylon. The world is become wicked beyind all comprehension. All have been warned. All have decided whose side they are on,  and it is time for the loud cry. God’s people are fitted for the temptation which is soon to confront them. A great light is seen to be resting upon them as together they take up the cry. Babylon has rejected God’s law (including the fourth commandment) and His messengers. Now they must suffer the consequences.

Babylon is become: “the habitation of devils,” “the hold of every foul spirit,” “and a cage of every unclean      and hateful bird.”  Explain each of these elements.

Babylon had ignored God for so long and trampled upon the very precepts of His law. God is a God of mercy, and sent warnings to not only warn but plead for the people to come out. God still had a people in the wicked city of Babylon. This verse seems to more describe Babylon’s punishment than her sins. This is also described in Isaiah. (21:9, 13:21). Babylon had drawn men into a spiritual adultery. It is a hang out for devils. It is where the evil, wicked, pleasure-loving people reign.  It used to be believed that unlean spirits and hateful birds haunted a city or a house that lay in ruins. which would correspond to Babylon after it is destroyed. Now God is not obliged to give the reasons for the destruction of Babylon, but He is happy to show the people His fairness in the destruction. Babylon has engaged in every foul thing, and every foul and unclean thought has entered her. Idolatry, blasphemy, adultery are rampant. We are told in Isaiah 13:21 that it shall be the seat and habitation of devils, of wild beasts, and of cursed souls. Devils is understood to mean an inferior deity. All the spirits and demons of Satan are inferior to God and His army, and God is calling out His people from Babylon to come fight against the wicked Babylon.

List and explain the sins of Babylon, as stated in Revelation 18.

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” (Rev. 18:3)    – Babylon had truly drawn men into adultery of the spiritual nature. They were obeying and clinging to false doctrines that directly opposed the word of God. Through all her wealth and richness she had kept them enthralled with her.  Little by little they were lead away from the light and they became drunk and infatuated with the pleasures of this earth. Living in contentment with all the delicacies the kings of the earth even became lead astray. They tramples on God’s word and participated in leading others away from Him as well. They have violated the seventh day sabbath, and followed the beast and worshipped on his day. They have no part in God but have received the mark of the beast.

Why does Revelation 18 say that Babylon receives the plagues?
Because her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. She has filled up the measure of her guilt, and destruction is about to fall upon her. Babylon has been warned- but she has not heeded the warning. Those people of God who remain in Babylon are called out, so that they don’t receive her punishment. The third angel’s message along with the loud cry constitute the final warning.
If you are honestly serving God, what difference does it make which church you belong to? [according to Revelation 18]

If  you are honestly serving God, you will be attending the church that is in unison with His word by keeping all His laws. The Bible says that by beholding we become changed. We are not to be participating with those who walk in darkness, for the blind cannot lead the blind. If one is united with or joining with the ranks of the church that violates God’s principles then he is in danger of hell fire. Many churches are fallen and are a part of Babylon. They refuse the light and continue to walk in darkness, thus receiving the mark of the beast. We must refrain from joining the ranks of these churches or we will be considered a part of the fallen entity.

Why are there only two distinct calls made to the churches?

There are only two calls made because the completion of the union of church with e world is not yet fully reached throughout the world. the fall of Babylon is not yet complete.  The change is a progressive one, and the perfect fulfillment of Revelation 14:8 is yet future.  {GC 389.3} God still has some of His chosen ones in Babylon. They must come out before His judgment.  In connection with his message the call is heard: “Come out of her, My people. These announcements, uniting with the third angel’s message, constitute the final warning to be given to the inhabitants of the earth. {GC 604.1} Just before Jesus comes again the angel of revelation 18:1 joins in the voice of the second angel in the message, “Babylon is fallen.” “ Come out of her my people.”

When is the Loud Cry suppose to be given?

We are supposed to spread this message to all nations, tongues, and peoples. After world has The loud cry is supposed to come after the message has been given to all nations, tongues, and peoples. God will not forbear the wicked forever. But He is seeking win all souls to salvation. God’s faithful ones must be called out of Babylon that they receive not of her plagues. Once the sunday law has been passed and it becomes a crime to transgress that day, then shall Babylon’s days be over. Her cup is full. She has had more than enough time, and the day of destruction will come.

What is it that gives power to the Loud voice [Cry]?

“Then I saw another mighty angel commissioned to descend to earth, and unite his voice with the third angel, and give power and force to his message.”  The light, power and glory that God has given him. God had given this angel great power and glory. His glory lighted up the earth as he descended. The light went before and after him, and it lighted up the entire earth. He joined his voice with the third angel and cried out, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hatelful bird.”  The fall of Babylon was proclaimed by the second angel, and it is being repeated again, but this there are more corruptions which have been entering the churches since 1844- when the second message was given.

When does Babylon’s sins reach unto heaven?

The law of God will eventually be considered no longer law. Men will take it upon themselves to create and obey their own laws. They will make a law that the first day of the week is to becom ethe new sabbath, which God never intended to happen. His law is to be eternal. It is still in the Ark in Heaven, and the fourth commandment is even brighter that the others. It is a wonder that God starts out this commandment with the word, “remember. ” Perhaps it is because He knew that we would forget… Eventually a law will be made that trangressing the first day of the week is to be met with punishsment. When this happens, Babylon has gone over the edge. She has run the race and cheated. She has to come to the gate lacking. She has been weighed in the balances and found wanting.          – “God keeps a record with the nations. The figures are swelling against them in the books of heaven, and when it shall have become a law that the transgression of the first day of the week shall be met with punishment, then their cup will be full.–7BC 910 (1886).

“Go ye into All the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. “

!. “How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.” Babylon is proud and haughty. She is proud of her wealth, and she puts herself upon a pedestal. She has lived in luxury. She has denied herself of nothing and has defiled herself with the lusts and pleasures of earthen vessels.  She has ignored her need of God’s grace. She thinks she has everything and therefore she will discover that she is lacking.

1. In verse three of Revelation 18, we see that Babylon’s  sin is fornication. She has mingled herself with the world. She has accepted the same belief that the papacy holds- the first day of the week as being sacred.

2. “And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning…”  She has committed fornication with the kings of the earth by accepting sunday as the sabbath and promoting this pagan doctrine. She has united in the pagan beliefs of the world. She has joined herself with the beast and received his mark.

 3.  “By thy sorceries were all nations deceived.”  Not only did Babylon deceive herself, she dragged others along leading them astray by her deceit.

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.”  Babylon tolerated no oppostion. When the saints refused to unite with her in her paganism and idolatry she persecuted and murdered them. She is guilty of murdering the innocent and their blood is on her hands.

Put some more thought into the following questions:

What are the two parts to the Loud Cry?
I would like you to look at Rev. 18:1-8 to answer this question.

What is the difference between “Babylon is fallen” in the second angel’s message of Revelation 14, as given in the summer of 1844, and “Babylon is fallen” in the Loud Cry of Revelation 18?

Babylon is become: “the habitation of devils,” “the hold of every foul spirit,” “and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” Explain each of these elements.

List and explain the sins of Babylon, as stated in Revelation 18.
Make a numbered list along with an explanation for each one.

When is the Loud Cry suppose to be given?

What is it that gives power to the Loud voice [Cry]?

If you are honestly serving God, what difference does it make which church you belong to? [according to Revelation 18]
I would say that Revelation 18 is saying that some churches are part of Babylon and will receive the plagues from God and that to stay in these churches would make the people who remain in them partake of their sins. So the point is to avoid whichever of the churches are part of Babylon.

What are the two parts to the final warning?
Look at your quote that you put under the question about the two distinct calls to tighten up your answer to this question.

I don’t understand. You left class today [last class period] without conferring with me that your assignments were completed, and without leaving a comment that you had made the necessary corrections. Please clarify.

i’m so sorry! i thought you said that if we were all done it was fine with you for us to do whatever. i completed the corrections, i believe, and also the person next to me told me that they thought i could leave. i apologize for not asking you personally.

Well, look at the comment flow. If you look at my comment above, it is not followed by a comment from you telling me that you had made the corrections and that I could go ahead and check it. So I look at this post and the comment flow and see that you have not made the corrections and therefore are not done with your work. So I’m not understanding…
